For more than half a century, B. B. King defined the blues for a worldwide audience. Since he started recording in the 1940s, he released over fifty albums, many of them classics. Over the years, B.B. King developed one of the world’s most identifiable guitar styles. His economy, his every-notecounts phrasing, has been a model for thousands of players, from Eric Clapton and George Harrison to Jeff Beck.
Presented here is King’s album Singin’ the Blues, a superb collection of his early hits, including four #1 R&B Billboard chart hits: “3 O’Clock Blues,” “You Know I Love You,” “Please Love Me,” and “YouUpset Me, Baby.”
