DICK MORRISSEY : Richard Edwin “Dick” Morrissey (1940- 2000, Deal, Kent) was a British jazz musician and composer. Morrissey emerged in the early 1960s in the wake of Tubby Hayes, Britain’s pre-eminent sax player at the time. In 1969, by then many-time winner and runner-up of the Melody Maker Jazz Poll, Morrissey teamed up with guitarist Terry Smithto form an early jazz-rock group, If. When If disbanded in 1975, Morrissey met up with guitarist, Jim Mullen and together they formed Morrissey - Mullen (aka M&M).
