The trumpeter from Tel Aviv reacts vehemently to the turbulent spirit of a troubled time and leads his band through a five-part suite that traverses a whole range of emotions - by turns hopeful, despairing, angry and deeply melancholy.

The melodic directness of the concluding piece "The Seventh", composed by Avishai Cohen's teenage daughter, offers a comforting contrast to the intensity of the suite. In between, Cohen turns to the haunting "Adagio assai" from Ravel's Piano Concerto in G major, which has long been one of the highlights of the group's live set.
