This release presents the two small group LPs Cootie Williams recorded in Paris for French Decca in early 1959 in their entirety: Cootie (Decca 153.894), which appears here on CD for the first time ever, and Un concert à minuit avec Cootie Williams (Decca 153.931). Both albums showcase the trumpeter playing with his regular quintet, which included George Clarke on tenor sax and Arnold Jarvis on piano.
