This release presents Two complete original albums by the amazing duet of singer Jackie Cain and pianist/singer Roy Kral: In the Spotlight (ABC-Paramount ABCS267), and Sweet and Low Down (Columbia CS8269). The singers are backed by brilliant jazzmen on both LPs. Monty Budwig and Shelly Manne complete the quartet on the first LP, while a larger band including Larry Bunker and Barney Kessel accompanied them on the second. As a bonus, three additional tracks from a previous date that also featured both Shelly Manne and Barney Kessel.
