Nick Hempton

Saxophonist Nick Hempton steps boldly back onto the scene with his latest release "Odd Man Out," available now from Posi- Tone. Hempton turns up the heat and hits the beat along with the serviceable assistance of pianist Art Hirahara, bassist Marco Panascia and drummer Dan Aran in the rhythm section. When trombone virtuoso Michael Dease steps into the front line for a few numbers, Hempton pushes the envelope even further, truly demonstrating his total command of his instrument.
