Italian composer Franco Evangelisti formed a wayward collective of free improvisors and avant garde sympathisers in 1964 and called it Il Gruppo, or The Group. A group shrouded in ultimate mystery, one of the sole releases still available came about in 1970 — and indeed, the rarity of The Feed-back fetches absurdly high prices on online marketplaces. Luckily, Schema SCEB Series offers up the LP in full, a great monstrosity of elemental jazz rock — with Ennio Morricone on trumpet!
