David Bowie turned to jazz for inspiration for his last album Blackstar. He enlisted the Donny McCaslin Quartet, a rugged jazz-rock combo with an intensely responsive metabolism. The music on "Fast Future" will draw in straight-ahead jazz fans into his idiosyncratic redefinition of fusion.
