This long unavailable 1978 session is the debut as a leader of the brilliant soloist George Masso (unjustly overlooked as well as tenor sax player Al Klink). He gathered together, along Klink, pianist John Bunch, bassist Milt Hinton and drummer Butch Miles. These five musicians did not play together as part of a regular working group but the music is very relaxed and everyone gets his message across quickly and easily. This reissue includes a pair of unreleased alternate takes.
