This Pan Am Records reissue contains Walter’s sensational debut LP: "The Best of Little Walter". First released in 1957, this compilation album contained ten Little Walter songs that appeared in the Top 10 of the Billboard R&B chart from 1952 to 1955, plus two B-sides. Accompanied by such masters as Muddy Waters, Robert Lockwood, Jr. or Willie Dixon, all of Walter’s biggest hits are featured on this release, including “My Babe,” “Blues with a Feeling,” “You Better Watch Yourself,” “Sad Hours,” “Mean Old World,” and the instrumental that catapulted him from the sideman chair in Muddy Waters’ band to the top of the R&B charts in 1952, “Juke.” In addition to the original album, this remastered collector’s item contains 4 bonus tracks consisting of a selection of the sensational early sides Little Walter made as a leader. These are the recordings that would forever change the sound and style of blues harmonica.
