Steve Coleman heads a new hybrid chamber-jazz ensemble that explores the very foundations of group improvisation and spontaneous composition. Coleman’s eight-member all-star ensemble includes Matt Mitchell (p), Greg Chudzik (b), Roman Filiu (ts), Rane Moore (cl), Jonathan Finlayson (tp), Kristin Lee (vln), and Jen Shyu (voc). Expect an uncompromising album of borderless styles, supreme musical fluidity, and post-bop revolution.
