2-CD SET
The US-American Maria Schneider belongs to the world's renowned big-bandleaders, arrangers and composers. She has won multiple Grammy Awards. On May 14th 2000, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Kurt Weill's birth and the 50th anniversary of his death, she was commissioned to design a programme for the SWR Big Band in Stuttgart, which paid homage to the master composer from Dessau. This is a re-release of the live recording from that jazz matinee, which contained among original works also pieces by Kurt Weill as well as other big-band classics.
