Co-led by Dave Douglas and Joe Lovano, Sound Prints is a passionately adventurous band that features pianist Lawrence Fields, bassist Linda May Han Oh and drummer Joey Baron. Inspired by the music of iconic saxophonist and composer Wayne Shorter, the quintet continually explores swinging, heartfelt and sophisticated new territory. The new album, which follows the group’s live debut in 2015, features nine originals by Lovano and Douglas, as well as new treatments of two classic Shorter compositions.
