This collector’s LP edition presents a wide selection of those early undubbed recordings made by Roy Orbison at the Memphis Recording Service (now commonly known as Sun Studio), between 1956 and 1958, prior to signing with the RCA-Victor and Monument labels. Most of the tunes on this release were written by Orbison, but some of the songwriting credits were assigned to Sam Phillips, and are in the traditional rockabilly style the Sun label was known for. Every effort has been made to replicate the incredible vibrancy of the original Sun material. These songs mark some of the best rock & roll of the era.
