This essential LP release presents The Imperial’s iconic debut album, We Are the Imperials, originally issued in 1959 by End Records, and long unavailable on vinyl. The LP features the group’s original line-up, and it brings together both sides of their earliest singles, including “When You Wish Upon a Star,” “Wishful Thinking,” and the hit “Tears on My Pillow”

In addition to the original album, this limited collector’s LP includes 5 bonus tracks, consisting of hard-to-find sides from the same period: the catchy numbers “It Just Ain’t Fair,” “Shimmy, Shimmy, Ko-Ko-Bop,” and “I’m Taking a Vacation from Love,” as well as the rockin’ R&B staples “I’m Alright” and “Formula of Love.”
