• DIGISLEEVE EDITION
• 4 1/2 STARS ALL MUSIC GUIDE
We lost one of New Orleans’ finest last year with the death of Allen Toussaint, but the spirit of his music is well preserved in a big band setting directed by Adonis Rose. While Rose plays the drums and cymbals on most of the pieces, the album has a street band parade feel as on upbeat pieces like the irresistible “Southern Nights.”
