[Ahmed] are a quartet of musicians who exit to re-make and reinterpret the work of New York bassist and composer Ahmed Abdul-Malik. Abdul-Malik made forward-thinking jazz informed by Arabic and African influences and ???? [Ahmed] use it as a base for their propulsive, repetitive jazz explorations.
