5 STARS ALL MUSIC GUIDE

One of B.B. KING’s lesser known gems, originally released by the Bihari brothers’ Crown label in the early 1960s, at the onset of King’s career. The ten songs from the original issue include urban blues, as well as straight R&B shuffles and some swinging numbers with organ and horns. This was the twelfth and last of King’s albums to be issued on Crown. By that time, almost two years had passed since King had left Modern Records to join ABC-Paramount. Therefore, this LP comes from the vast stockpile of material that he had left behind.
