A trio recorded with a great texture of sounds – the guitar of Tetzui Akiyama, the drums of Nicolas Field, and the tenor of Gregor Vidic – the last of which is often blown in this careful, sound-shaping style that's a big change from the usual! Akiyama's guitar is great too – not the louder noise that might be used in an improvisational session like this – and instead a more careful approach to the subtler sonic reaches, with slow-building, soft-glowing elements that are punctuated with bolder moments from Nicolas Field.
