The Everly Brothers topped the charts in Britain and America in the late ‘50s and early ‘60s with a series of hits including “Cathy’s Clown”, “Love Hurts”, and “All I Have to Do IsDream”. The enduring influence of The Everlys’ is also evident in the work of British Invasion bands like The Beatles and The Hollies, and of folk-oriented acts such as Simon and Garfunkel.
This special collector’s edition compiles two of The Everly Brothers’ finest releases: A Date with The Everly Brothers (1961), and The Fabulous Style of The Everly Brothers (1960). Both LPs contain great moments from the bands’ hitmaking stretch during their most inspired years. In addition, we have included 6 bonus tracks from the same period. These splendid recordings feature a virtual who's who of fabulousmusicians from the Nashville scene, such as Chet Atkins, James Clayton, Floyd Cramer, Buddy Harman and Ray Edenton, among others.
