One of the most engaging, if tragic, figures in rock & roll history, Gene Vincent personified the wild, lusty, lower class side of the music as a touring artist. Vincent recorded some of the most exciting libidinous songs of the era propelled by one of the greatest rock bands ever: The Blue Caps. This quintessentialrelease includes two of Vincent’s finest LPs for Capitol records: Gene Vincent Rocks! and The Blue Caps Roll (1958) and Twist Crazy Times! (1960).

These two masterpieces helped define the exact nature of rock & roll and have been remastered and packaged together in this very special collector’s edition. This release also includes 8 bonus tracks, some of which are hard to find sides from the same period. This is as rousing, rebellious and lively as early rock & roll can sound.
