This quintessential CD features two of the group’s finest albums, originally released by the Mercury label: their self-titled debut album, The Platters (1956), and the equally splendid The Flying Platters (1957).

Both LPs have been remastered and packaged together in this special collector’s edition, which also contains 5 bonus tracks from the same period. The bonus material consists of the group’s celebrated numbers like “Twilight Time” and “Smoke Gets in Your Eyes,” plus other smashes that were originally issued as singles, as the eternal “Only You,” “You’ll Never, Never Know I Care,” and “The Great Pretender”.
