All tracks appear here in their original unedited form, as on to the original US LP edition, for the first time as well as the track "Too Close for Comfort", a trio piece which was recorded around the same time but included only on a label anthology.

All previous CD releases of this album presented abridged versions of some tunes and most omitted "This is Always". This edition presents the integral session with complete tunes for the first time ever. No alternate take for "Things Ain't What They Used to Be" exists.

As a bonus to this outstanding album, the producers have added four interesting tunes featuring Jim Hall with pianist and composer John Lewis in a 1956 trio, a 1957 duet and three 1960 quartet recordings.
