Late life genius from the mighty Ben Webster – a record that captures him in a live setting, and features much longer solo space than some of his other European dates of the time, which sometimes compact his work into shorter moments!

The great pianist Tete Montoliu is working here on piano – with superb accompaniment from Rob Langereis on bass and Erik Ineke on drums – two players who always sound wonderful – and Webster's tone has that superb mature quality throughout – raspy, soulful, and completely charming, even in understated moments.
