A new compilation of folk-funk and Balearic sounds curated by former Polyphonic Spree Tour DJ Paul Hillery. Selected by British DJ and vinyl hunter Paul Hillery, the new BBE Music compilation "We Are The Children Of The Sun" is a dazzling collection of rare folk-funk and AOR with a distinctly "Balearic" feel.

Paul Hillery is the former touring DJ for Polyphonic Spree and the man behind the "Folk Funk & Trippy Troubadours" YouTube channel and mix series. His lovingly handpicked musical compilation of scraped soft rock, blissed-out beach beats, the gentle bubbling of electronica is the sonic equivalent of a gentle summer breeze. The music on "We Are The Children Of The Sun" ranges from hazy, long-forgotten early '70s cassettes to digital vibes recorded during the 2020 lockdown. "Tune in," Paul says, "and ruminate while consciousness is awakened at the edges of the psyche, holding hands with folk-funk that runs deep and hazy as the turquoise water gently laps at the ocean shore."
