Band Wagon

Shigeru Suzuki

• Clear Orange Vinyl edition

Shigeru Suzuki’s legendary masterpiece Band Wagon returns in a 2025 remastered edition, personally overseen by the artist. Originally released 50 years ago, this historic album remains a must-listen for guitar enthusiasts, showcasing Suzuki’s unmistakable Stratocaster tone and innovative approach to rock music.

Recorded in Los Angeles in the fall of 1974, Band Wagon was Suzuki’s first solo album, created during his transformative journey to the U.S. The recording sessions brought together members of Little Feat, Sly & The Family Stone, Santana, and Tower of Power, who were inspired by Suzuki’s fiery guitar work, resulting in an electrifying blend of funk-infused rock and groove-heavy rhythms. Combined with Takashi Matsumoto’s poetic lyrics, the album shaped a unique sonic world and redefined Japanese rock history.

Now, this pioneering work that set new standards for Japanese rock is reborn on clear orange vinyl, celebrating the enduring legacy of one of Japan’s greatest guitar legends.
