This edition presents the complete original album At the Village Gate (Colpix SCP421) by the great Nina Simone (tracks 1-8). It showcases her singing and playing the piano backed by a trio of guitar, bass and drums. All other known music recorded during that engagement, as well as two original studio versions of songs recorded at the Village Gate have been added here as a bonus.
