This edition contains Toots Thielemans’ original version of his perennial classic Bluesette, which was first issued on a Swedish EP and appears here for the first time ever on CD. It is presented here along with two complete albums by Thielemans (each of which includes a separate version of Isn’t It Romantic). The first album, Man Bites Harmonica (Riverside RLP12- 257), features Toots backed by such jazz luminaries as Pepper Adams and Kenny Drew, while the second, Road to Romance (Polydor 46356), showcases the leader backed by the Kurt Edelhagen orchestra. Recorded in Germany, the latter LP also appears here on CD for the first time ever.
