For more than a decade, many Danes had their first encounters here with many of the best American jazz musicians of the 50', fro veterans to the young lions in Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers, who hinted at what would be happening in the 60'. We decided to present the music chronologically. We have chosen a few special events out of the many hundred concerts that took place at -Hallen. Naturally, you are welcome to listen to the CDs from start to finish, but you may also choose to focus on some of your speci favorite. - from the liner notes.
