Yellowjackets

The mark of a truly great band is its ability to not only endure, but to grow – grow its musical language, its audience and its capacity to continually amaze and surprise. The tunes are Yellowjacket-certified complex – laden with knuckle-busting time signatures and high-wire musicianship yet maintain a connection with the listener with every note, every bar and each successive song. Felix Pastorius (yes, that Pastorius) joins the band in the daunting task of replacing founding member Jimmy Haslip. Russell Ferrante, Will Kennedy and Bob Mintzer along with guest Ambrose Akinmusire breathe flames of technique and emotion while displaying an almost incestuous interplay across this collection of all-new tunes.
