This release presents two complete 1961 LPs by the Red Garland Trio: Halleloo-y’-all (Prestige LP7288), featuring Sam Jones on bass, and Art Taylor on drums, and the ballad album When There Are Grey Skies (Prestige LP7258), with Wendell Marshall on bass (Garland’s only existing recordings with Marshall), and Charlie Persip on drums. One song recorded during the latter album's session but not included on the original LP has been added as a bonus
