All the performances are improvised interpretations of songs which have been part of Junior's musical life without necessarily being tunes he has tackled before. Such is the weight of his imagination, virtuosity and powerful sense of swing that it seems as though each tune has enjoyed a long life as part of the pianist's repertoire.
