As a bonus three tracks from the same sessions that were not included on the original album, two rare songs first issued on a single disc, and a complete 17-minute live show from the period, featuring two tunes by Neal Hefti (one from Atomic Basie). This show appears here on CD for the first time ever and has excellent sound quality.

This LP is certainly the best-recorded Basie available today. Basie deserves this kind of recording. It could have been better, but not much. Recommended (Dom Cerulli)
