Singer KAT LANG gratifies our ears on this wonderful CD with thirteen songs consisting in well-known standards, from which, however, she manages to get lots of life and joy. She is backed by such veteran stars as Bucky Pizzarelli in guitar, Mike Renzi on piano, Warren Vache on trumpet, and Harry Allen on saxes, all of whom provide warm background to the vocals but also have room for lengthy and juicy solos. This might not be an innovative or revolutionary release, but is nevertheless highly enjoyable swing from beginning to end.
