This release presnets the complete sessions that produced the classic albums "Interpretations by the Stan Getz Quintet" (Norgran MGN 1000), Interpretations by the Stan Getz Quintet #2 (Norgran MGN 1008), and "Interpretations by the Stan Getz Quintet #3" (Norgran MGN 1029). The three LPs (issued as 10-inch discs) featured the splendid quintet with Stan Getz and Bob Brookmeyer in the frontline, plus John Williams at the piano. All existing alternate takes and extra songs from the sessions are included here, as well as a four-tune date by a similar formation recorded during the same period, and a single track on which Brookmeyer is replaced by trumpeter Tony Fruscella.
