This quintessential collector’s edition contains 27 remastered studio tracks, consisting of a selection of the sensational early sides Little Walter made as a leader (accompanied by such masters as Muddy Waters, Jimmy Rogers, Robert Lockwood, Jr., Willie Dixon, and Otis Spann) for the Chess Records subsidiary label Checker, which were originally released between 1952 and 1962. Included here are his most famous and enduring singles: “Juke”, “My Babe”, “Sad Hours,” “Hate to See You Go,” and “Just Your Fool,” among others. These recordings forever changed the sound and style of the blues harmonica, making this an indispensable set for any fan of Chicago Blues.
