This release presents two classic Bert Kaempfert albums released by Decca in the US: "That Happy Feeling" (Decca DL 74305, 1962), and Lights Out,Sweet Dreams (Decca DL 74265, 1961). The former LP was released in Europe by Polydor in late 1962, with a different title (A Swingin’ Safari) and cover art. The latter album remains one of Kaempfert’s most enduring collections, ranging from the playful to the sweetly sentimental. All of this material showcases the eclecticism and sensual orchestral effects that are Kaempfert’s remarkable trademarks.
