INCLUDES 2-BONUS TRACKS
This edition includes Albert King’s underrated debut album, The Big Blues. It was originally issued in 1962 by the King label, and has been long unavailable on vinyl. By the time this album was released, King had long perfected his sound after years of touring. On “Let’s Have a Natural Ball,” and “I Get Evil,” King’s voice is as expressive as that of any blues singer of his time, including Muddy Waters and Jimmy Reed (he backed the latter on a number of recordings).
In addition to the original masterpiece, this WaxTime collector’s item includes 2 bonus tracks from the same period: “Need You By My Side” and “Got to Be Some Changes Made.”
