This collector’s LP edition includes a number of T-Bone Walker’s most difficult to find songs, recorded between 1950-1954. Only a few of these lesser-known sides were originally issued on the 7” format by the Imperial label. Some of these tracks feature accompaniment by the outstanding Dave Bartholomew and his band (boasting impressive sidemen like saxophonist Lee Allen and bassist Frank Fields), as well as by such great musicians as Maxwell Davis, Marl Young and Billy Hadnott.

All of these hidden treasures serve to give a solid and revealing portrait of T-Bone Walker’s versatility, while confirming his rightful place in the blues pantheon.
