This release presents the complete 1959 LP Southern Scene (Columbia CS9363), by the classic Dave Brubeck Quartet with Paul Desmond, Gene Wright and Joe Morello. This album was only previously issued on CD on a long out of print Japanese edition. As a bonus, the complete 1959 Brubeck LP The Riddle (CS8248), which pairs the pianist with clarinetist Bill Smith.
