Tubby Hayes

This release presents, FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER ON A SINGLE RELEASE, all existing recordings from the legendary Tubby Hayes quartet session that produced the LP Tubby’s Groove (Tempo TAP29). To the six selections on the original LP (tracks 1-6 on our CD), five different songs and an alternate take of “Tin Tin Deo” have been added. Considered one of the finest British jazzmen of all time, Hayes died in 1973 at the age of 38.
