This special release includes 30 studio tracks, consisting of the sensational singles Wilbert Harrison recorded for Savoy, as well as for the oftoverlooked Deluxe, Fury, Chart, and Neptune labels, between 1953 and 1962. Ten of these splendid songs would later conform Harrison’s iconic LP Kansas City, which was originally issued by the Sphere Sound label. All of these great tracks have been remastered in this collector’s edition, which gives ample proof of Wilbert Harrison’s versatility as well as of his rightful place in the R&B and early rock & roll pantheon.
