Be prepared to jump, jive, dance, clap, stomp your feet and sing along to classic ‘50s favorites. This release includes Haley’s fantastic debut long play, Rock Around the Clock, which was originally released by the Decca label in August 1956, and has been long unavailable on vinyl. It’s one of the building blocks and all-time cornerstones of rock & roll, and shows what a formidable force The Comets were. It is worth noting that this album was basically the Shake, Rattle & Roll 10” disc (previously released in mid-1955) with four fine vintage numbers added on (“Two Hound Dogs,” “Razzle-Dazzle,” “Rock-a-Beatin’ Boogie,” and “Burn That Candle”). Highlights also feature the smashes “Shake, Rattle and Roll,” “Mambo Rock,” and “Hot Dog Buddy Buddy,” among others.

In addition to the original album, this Vinyl Lovers collector’s LP also includes 2 bonus tracks, consisting of Decca sides from the same recording period: the joyous “R-O-C-K,” plus the well known “See You Later Alligator.”
