This vinyl collector’s edition includes Johnny Cash’s sensational LP, Hymns by Johnny Cash, originally released on the Columbia label in March 1959. It contains a dozen songs that are on the spiritual side of Johnny’s repertoire. Even though the album is entirely devoted to sacred music, it didn’t really sound that different from his prior work, and remains accessible to Cash fans despite their religious persuasion.

In addition to this sensational LP, we have included 2 bonus tracks from the early ‘60s that keep the gospel feeling as well – the hidden treasures “My God Is Real” and “I Got Shoes”. This great material represents one of the most relevant and poignant sides from Cash’s catalogue during his most inspired years.
