Jim Beard

On "Chunks And Chairknobs," their first duo project, veterans Jim Beard and Jon Herington explore the special chemistry of their music together. This album is a unique piano-guitar project that naturally blends their interests in rock, pop, bossa, blues, and jazz into a unified whole, while also incorporating their years of experience as sidemen in the seminal band Steely Dan.

In this intimate meeting of two kindred souls, we are allowed to be present when the two divide their tasks, swapping roles again and again without effort, supporting each other and, quite incidentally, delivering melodic gems and brilliant solos.

The enchanting project "Chunks And Chairknobs" is the result you get when two old hands of the music world, who have known each other and performed together for many years, get together in a recording studio and realize their ideas. Wonderful things come into being. !
