This quintessential release features two of Johnny Cash’s long unavailable LPs, which were originally released on the Columbia label in 1962: The Sound of Johnny Cash and Hymns from the Heart. On the !rst album, Johnny Cash made a conscious effort to return to the strippeddown sound of his seminal Sun recordings.

The second LP, Hymns from the Heart, is entirely devoted to spirituals and sacred songs. Both of these hard-to-!nd and sensational albums have been re-mastered and packaged together in this very special collector’s edition, which also includes 6 bonus tracks from the same period.
