This collector’s edition presents 32 studio tracks from Connie Francis’ harder-edged recordings, consisting of a variety of the great rock & roll sides she made for the MGM label between 1956 and 1962. Some of the material here isn’t available on other collections, nor have these recordings ever been previously compiled together on one CD.

These songs are true snapshots from the early days of rock & roll and R&B. Also featured here are dynamic pop songs with hints of country. Highlights include energetic sides like “Tweedle Dee,” “Mister Twister,” “Robot Man,” and “Lipstick on Your Collar,” together with some Elvis staples (“Don’t Be Cruel,” “Heartbreak Hotel”), and obscure numbers culled from her early career (“Eighteen,” “I’m Nobody’s Baby”).

All of these fabulous recordings have been remastered and packaged together in this essential edition, which gives ample proof of Connie Francis’ versatility as well as her rightful place in the rock & roll hall of fame.
