TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:

The music in this CD comes from no-professional privates tapes and its technical sound quality its no up to today's standarts. However, it is released because of the impotance of the musicians involved and of its high musical and historical value. Every effort has been made to improve the sound qualilty through advanced restoration technologies.

This release presents two very rare broadcasts originated in Saint Louis in 1957. Featured is one of the most glorious formations of the Miles Davis Quintet, with John Coltrane, Red Garland, Paul Chambers, and Philly Joe Jones. Miles, who had recently quit his own habit, had to disband this group soon after due to the addiction problems of Coltrane, Chambers and Jones. This long unavailable material is presented here with updated discographical information and all tracks in the correct broadcast order for the first time ever.
