‘Push’ by Japanese jazz singer Noriko Miyamoto was originally released in 1978 and kicked off a crossover of female jazz singers into the Japanese pop mainstream. This reissue marks the first official worldwide release of this smooth, jazz-funk classic. The music is characterised by Miyamoto’s pristine, soulful vocals and the laid back arrangements, with some supreme bass playing at the forefront.
