Quebec's piano-less group does a great job performing nonstandard fare in the bossa style. I like the bluesy, nocturnal vibe of this record a lot, especially compared to the higher rated getz Gilberto album. The repetitive drone of Willie Bobo's drums, and the moody, spare guitar work from Kenny Burrell provide a perfect backdrop for Quebec's hushed melodicism.
